How To Self care Sunday!

❄️ ❄️❄️ Exfoliate and Hydrate ❄️❄️❄️

We can’t help but slow down on Sundays, trying to relax and refuel!

Dedicating a few extra minutes for self care can add to your relaxation, feel the shoulders drop and hear the sound of your breath! Hmmmm isn’t a perfect end to your weekend…

While I try not to restrict self care to just Sundays, doing some form of self care to wind up at the end of everyday can be helpful.

Few things I have been doing for years now 🤞🏻 (I hope it never changes) is to end my day with a shower followed by skin care and a glass of hot water!

In the past year I’ve added 2 more to the routine which surprisingly don’t take much time but make a huge difference!

That’s exfoliating before getting into the shower with a dry brush and moisturizing with Shea butter post shower nothing short of a treat especially during winter months.


Knowing 2 jobs gets done in one act, you just can’t take a pass! Dry brushing helps exfoliate and detox, pretty cool right?

I have to say it does more good that just exfoliate and detox, I have definitely seen smoother skin, no ingrown hair from razor shaving, hair grows back softer (which is really cool, and I am having hard time believing, still observing though) if you have used dry brushing and noticed this difference then plz let us know, am always up for some fun girl talks!


How do I even begin this, from moisturizing 2-3 times a day to ones daily! Surprised? Well, during my pregnancy while on one had I was trying to stick to natural products I was also very conscious about stretch marks, I had to do something and decided to pick up a tub of 100% pure Shea butter, used it every single day for a year and the rest is history.

Thinking back I now see how good of a moisturizer it was and started using the same this winter. I am convinced its a blessing, I love it!

Veggie Burger (Easy Delicious)

Try this because,

  • Easy to make!
  • Make once, eat all week!
  • Clean and fresh ingredients!
  • Very different from other meatless burgers!
  • Tastes much better than store brought!
  • Loaded with veggies!
  • Most of all, it is not dry and won’t fall apart on you. Nothing but tender, tasty, with perfectly crispy edges!

One thing quarentinelife though me, “make the best of fresh produce!”. My first attempt at making burgers, let alone plant based!

Without tempting you any further, here it is!

I promise you the best, tender, tasty, with perfectly crispy edges, that are easy to make, with a handful of ingredients that you possibly already have in your kitchen.


  • Green peas – 3/4th cup
  • Green beans – 1/2 cup
  • Potato – one tiny lime sized
  • Chickpea flour – 4 tbsp
  • Rice flour – 2 tbsp
  • Quinoa flour – 4 tbsp
  • Seasoning: Onion powder, garlic powder, chili flakes, turmeric, fresh coriander/cilantro & salt
  • Bread crumbs – 4 tbsp
  • For assembling: Burger buns, tomatoes, onions, lettuce/cucumber, bell peppers and a sauce of your choice


  • Slightly steam the veggies
  • Finely chop them/ or in their food processor
  • To this add the other ingredients mentioned in the ingredients list including the spices
  • Mix it all up into a tight dough by gradually adding water as needed
  • Let it rest in an airtight container for 30mins
  • Divide the dough into more or less 4-5 equal parts depending on the size of the burger buns you plan to use
  • Pat it into a think patty, while keep the center relatively shallow so they cook evenly
  • Time to coat it with breadcrumbs and stick them in the fridge, covered with a damp towel until ready to cook/at least an hour.
  • Cook them on a skillet, stovetop grill or a traditional grill
  • Takes about 3-4 mins on each side, basically until it turns golden brown with crispy edges
  • Let them rest for a couple minutes after moving them to the dish
  • Just don’t let them burn


  • Chop tomatoes, onions and peppers diagonally into circles
  • Leave them on the grill for a minute or so, not longer, you don’t want them to cook through
  • In a separate bowl, mix together your favorite hot sauce(we used Frank’s red hot), vegan mayo & ketchup
  • Stack them up as you please and enjoy with your favorite sides or make my delicious healthy fries!


  • Adjust the seasoning to your taste if needed
  • No, we did not use any oil or cheese here. It was not intentional, just a habit. Feel free to use oil to grease the pan to cook your veggie patty
  • Yes, using a hot sauce makes all the difference, even better when it is Frank’s Red Hot

Air Fryer Baby Corn

Quick, delicious, no mess and a lil less guilt!

Crispy baby corn, sautéed in home made chili garlic sauce with onions, peppers, celery and topped with sesames seeds.

Serves : 2
Prep time: 50MINS



  • Baby corn
  • Rice Flour 4tbsp
  • Corn Flour 2tbsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic Powder 1tbsp
  • Pepper Powder 1tsp
  • Oil 2tbsp
  • Home Made Chili Paste 1/2tbsp
  • Water as needed


  • Cubed Red Onions 1/2cup
  • Cubed Greed Bel Peppers 1/2cup
  • Celery Chopped 1/2cup
  • Ginger & Garlic Grated 1tsp each
  • Home Made Chili Paste 1/2tbsp
  • Soy Sauce 4tbsp
  • Rice Vinegar 2tbsp
  • Ketchup 3tbsp
  • Corn Starch 2tbsp
  • Water 2tbsp
  • Salt to taste



  • Pre heat the air frier @350 for 8mins
  • Mix all the ingredients
  • Massage the flour onto the baby corn
  • Sprinkle water little by little until you have a thick evenly coated baby corns
  • Spread the battered baby corn in the Air Frier (divide into 2 batches for crispier texture)
  • Bake for 15 to 18 mins


  • Lightly sauté veggies in the same order mentioned above and go about it until you are done
  • Quickly stir them all together add a couple tbsps of water to adjust the consistency to your liking
  • Add the air fried baby corn mix & serve
  • Garnish with white sesame seeds


  • Keep an eye on the air-frier so they don’t over cook
  • Blanching is not required as the baby corn is generally soft and cooks faster
  • Use a wider pan on high flame for the sauce
  • Mix the air fried baby corn into the sauce just before serving

Ootd Planner/ Closet Cleanse Part-2

Something as simple as planning shrinks down all your problems, everything starts to look rainbows and unicorns! (Not literally of course)

Pre plan what to wear from Monday to Friday for the next couple days/weeks, then you wear it and end of the day you decide if you want to keep it or pass it along!

Make sense? Here’s how you can get started:

1. Events/weather check:

Look up your calendar and check the weather forecast to see what’s coming up to make sure you assign a suitable outfit.

It could be as small as going out to pick up groceries or taking a walk coz the sun is going to be out. There is nothing wrong in dressing up, as long as you feel like it. Just plan it!

2. Assortment by category:

I suggest planning your outfits by category. For example, I wear skirts, pants and dresses so I put them in the order of “Day1 Skirt -Day2 Dress- Day3 Pant” and repeat! This will make sure you don’t miss out on any styles and helps compare side by side and find your true comfort! Also helps a lot in narrowing down your shopping list, we will be able to stick to what we need, over “oh that’s a cool offer”, get it?

3. Enjoy:

Just sit back and enjoy the looks, everyday fashion need not be boring nor uncomfortable. Just gotta take the time to figure out what suits your lifestyle, personal style and comfort.

May be by the end of this series you will reach a sweet spot and won’t every have to waste time thinking “what do I wear” OR even better, you won’t end up spending money buying random stuff, sooooo not sustainable.

Closet Cleanse

I decided to do a close cleanse! Super thrilled to be able to take you along and share my learnings along the way!

The goal with this cleanse is to reach that sweet spot!

Meaning, to be left with only the pieces that will grow with you and those that you truly love and look forward to!

Why do a closet cleans?

I am doing this to reinvent my style and to build a sustainable wardrobe.

Your reason could be anything, wanting to make dressing up in the morning easy, want to become mindful as a buyer, just want to know what’s hidden on the closet and get the best use for it!

I did a closet clear out 9 months ago, I went hard on myself and yet am doing a closet cleanse.

During the last year, I have a very clear understanding my style needs than ever before and this is the perfect time to sort out and be ready to check off all the things from your “things to do post vaccinations”!

  5. Uneven skin tone: I think the even skin tone is an added benefit, as the blemishes fade you obviously start to see your skin tone look more even! I thought this was worth mentioning as we all have times where we wished or did things to have an even skin tone so that we could be a little more confident in going bare skin!
